About

Raven O’Rourke

As an AASECT-certified sex therapist, I am sex-positive and support clients of all genders and orientations with any family structure or life circumstance. Other clients have described me as open-minded, compassionate and direct. I provide therapy to people who identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community and high-achieving professionals.

For the first 12 years of my career, I primarily provided therapy to people living with HIV in both New Orleans and Nashville. When I first started studying psychology, I found it baffling that sexuality was a negligible part of educating mental health professionals when it is such an important aspect of a healthy and full life. In my work with clients, sexuality is always part of our work together, so I sought additional training to become an AASECT-certified sex therapist.

I am passionate about sexual and reproductive justice and teaching clients to advocate for themselves in and out of the bedroom. My goal is to listen empathically to ensure you feel supported and provide you feedback when appropriate. In assessing each client or relationship individually, I tailor the treatment plan with your unique needs in mind.

When I’m not working, you can find me cooking, traveling the world with my partner or snuggling with my two pups. I am also a voracious reader and life-long learner.
